My poetry is varied in style and content according to my passion for any given subject, emotion, thought, or whim. I like to try new forms of writing and challenge myself with new concepts. At present I am pleased to be writing columns for my local weekly newspaper and pursuing a degree in Fine Arts.
I carry on a lifetime love affair with nature. My passions are writing, painting, teaching, studying practical philosophy, volunteering, good conversations, cooking, and travelling abroad.
I have many favourite poets on this site who inspire and delight me, and I always find it a pleasurable experience being among people with similar interests. I have learned much by being here and from the people who have given me honest critiques on my work and I am indebted to those who have taken me under their wing and made me feel welcome.

lordoftherings on December 24, 2005I just stopped by today
Hope you are having a wonderful day
That's festive and really gay
Because I would have it no other way
Champagne at midnight...bootie call,
watch out for St. Nick, he ain't that tall
Drink moderately so you don't fall
And if you're quesy--lean against the wall
What started out as a little note
Became a poem the size of a boat
My head is medically afloat
My dog has now turned into a goat
Happy Holidays Gregg
