"They flee from me that sometime did me seek,
With naked foot stalking within my chamber:
Once have I seen them gentle, tame, and meek,
That now are wild, and do not once remember
That sometime they have put themselves in danger
To take bread at my hand; and now they range,
Busily seeking in continual change."
Sir Thomas Wyatt
Poetry is a gift, some people are meant to have it. Others can paint, draw, compose music, make speeches. I can write. Whether it is of quality i do not know. I only know that at times a wind travels within me and turns emotions and thoughts into poems. It does not happen often, i have concluded now that i cannot force inspiration. It comes to me whenever it choose to and the rest of the time leaves me barren.
I am mostly inspired by emotions, influencial people in my life, art, the world around me and sometimes by my religion. My poetry is certainly not happy-go-lucky, happy and light emotions usually don't stir anything in me. For something to inspire me it has to be deep, intense, dark, passionate or sorrowful. I write both in English and in Greek(my native language) but unfortunately i cannot share with you my greek poems.
I am still looking at the mirror and wondering who is that person staring back. I have not fully discovered who i am and what i can do but i can tell you a few things.
I love: my cat Mysterio, the night, nature, flirting, movies, darkness, the moon and stars, travelling, road trips, astrology, vampires, horses, the Celts, emotions, purple and deep red, sleeping, mexican and italian food, Middle Ages, Scotland, Arthurian legends, cowboys and the South, attention, theatre, geishas, dresses, sexy underwear, trailers, music, poetry of course, martial arts, fairies, witches and elves, smoking, whisky, older men ,blankets, rain.etc
I dislike/hate: heat, bugs, waking up in the morning, being ignored, big crowds, having to speak in front of big crowds, vodka, know-it-alls, animal abuse, superficiality. etc
That's all for now...!Check later for more.

The Moonchild on December 2, 2007Anna! I'm so glad I found this place. I had been searching for a site to display my poetry for such a long time. I'm also fascinated by your poems, they're always so inspiring! *hugs*
Take care!

Tamaska Forsaken : Facinating on November 24, 2006I must say, you have a facinating page. I really like your background, it makes you think. It reminds me of the song 'Masquerade' from The Phantom of the Opera... I like it very much. I was also interested to see that you're Pagan. That's cool.

Micket on September 11, 2006anna, I dunno where to start, I"m not even sure what to say... guess I'm sorry I havent been on much, I have been in trouble the past week, a lot of trouble actually; I'll tell you about it later
and who says you're a loser if you dont make it to university? hell... more that 60% of the netherlands are losers if that's true, and that includes me. remember you're never a loser as long as you follow your dreams... I'm trying to follow mine, how about you?
as for the rest of your comment; I'm here for you, and I'll always be because there is not freaking way in hell I'm going to abandon -or however that's spelled- one of my best friends. and remember suicide is not an act of courage nor weakness, it's despair. you never need to be desperate cause you have me
I'll try to be online tomorrow morning, otherwise I'll be home around 3 pm, through you probably cant go on than...
just hang in there

Micket on September 5, 2006yeah, I started school again... dunno what time you're out of school but I can usually get on before school seeing I'm always up way too early since I'm the first one in the shower (count on anything that's between 6 and 6.15 for me; if I'm not making huge mistakes again there is an 8 hour timedifference; you do the maths, it's too early) anyway; ttyl
