Gecko in the skyShow poetry

I'm new. I enjoy writing poetry. I seem to write more depressing poems then upbeat. I'd love feedback on my poems, I feel you can always improve.

I rarely truly like my poetry. If you want to see one that I do like, message me!

I'm spending New Years and my birthday in Europe!

My AP something: Electric Sunrise

I find it very hard to judge poetry because everyones different and their poetry is just their expression. I believe there is no such thing as bad poetry, but poetry that could use improvement.

I'm going through a tough time right now, where I can't trust my friends, my siblings or even my own parents. I could tell you some crazy stories. I can't tell you how incredibly lucky I am to be alive. I've had a not so normal life but then again what is normal? Poetry is the only thing that has kept me sane.

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is to love and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. - anonymous

The following is an actual question given on a chemistry mid-term. the answer by one student was "so profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, which, of course is why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well.
Bonus question: Is hell exothermic (gives off heat)or endothermic (absorbs heat)? most wrote some variant of their beliefs on Boyle's law.
One student, however, wrote the following;
First, we need to know how the mass of hell is changing over time. So we need to know the rate that souls are moving to hell and the rate they are leaving. I think we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one relition, we can project that all souls go to hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of ouls in hell to increase exxponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in hell bc Boyle's law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the volume of hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added. This gives 2 possibilities:
1. if hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. if hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over. so which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my freshman year, "that it will be a cold day in hell before i sleep with you", and take into account the fact that i still have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then #2 cannot be true, and I am convinced that hell is exothermic and will not freeze
the student received the only A given

About Me: above the surface:

I'm pretty awesome/important; I am the nicest person ever; I like movies; I don't drink (well not often); I often sing off tune; I have no rhythm; The Beatles are the best (do not insult them in my presence); I loooove parmesan, ice and pistachios (not together); I have my manly moments; I cannot stand Hillary Duff and Keira Knightly; I like to eat ranch doritos in cream cheese (very healthy); Orlando Bloom and Tom Welling are beautiful; The Office is awesome!; I am TOO pale; I can't stand smoke at all; Go Rays! (but not really) woot

below the surface:

But recently I've discovered that I'm also a compulsive liar, I used to know which memories were real.

An attempt at honesty:

I am very confused and have no idea at what I want from life

I am single, but I've always been single (I've dated but no real relationships)... I'm afraid of getting close to people... Not even my own family.

Through poetry, I guess, I try to understand myself
and hope that others who read it, might understand too

Its funny how I always hated fake people and all this time I created a fake personality of my own, so no one would could ever get too close

I doubt anyone would actually read this all the way through but I love comments and people signing my guest book!
