Hey, I am Grace, and I am back on AllPoetry! I was formerly "GodsGracieGirl" about two years ago before I left AP. Since then, I have changed a lot. I am now nearly 21, but I am still a girl. I am also madly in love (check the AP user "hopit").

I am an Oregonian turned LA resident. It's been an interesting transition, going from living in a small mountain town, to traveling the country (and part of the world) to living in a city (a huge city at that).

 

I am dedicated to living on the fringes of society, or at least living an alternative lifestyle. I spend my time volunteering, relaxing or being with friends, and refusing to work for a twisted money system. I love making friends, I like to write and to talk, and I love cats! Oh, and you can't forget my love for dumpster diving and biking.

My poetry is based on my experiences, emotions and view of life, just like anyone else's poetry is! I try to cover a range of topics and styles, and to keep it light most of the time. Of course, I want people to think about serious issues sometimes, too.

 

What is Freeganism?

 

" To me, "freeganism" refers to a set of ideals related to how our actions (particularly consumption) impact the earth and its population. Implementing the best use of resources is an important aspect of a freegan lifestyle. Freeganism is practiced through such things as dumpster diving (using resources that would go to waste), voluntary work (sharing human resources, like time and skills), and finding ways to limit consumption and materialism (in our own lives and those of others)."   My blog talks a lot about my travels, my lifestyle and my philosphy.
