Like the phoenix, I am beginning again at AP (April, 2009.) Francesca was my maternal grandmother's name. Born in Bari, Italy, and wife to Giovanni (from Lecce), she mothered 11 children including la mamma mia .
Will be posting very few pieces I've written before. Inordinately busy w/life (and who isn't?) Endeavoring to get a couple of new verses posted here forthwith. [Done.]
Most previous vestiges of me online are gone: no more Caroligné, Eosa, or Solveigh. I'm not French or Greek or German. What I am is Italian, ergo Francesca (fran-CHESS-kah). Starting over building on my Roman (and, perhaps, later my Irish and Welsh) heritage.
What else is germane here? Ah, yes: I love purple. And Rilke's work. And my children. And God. In reverse order. Sentence fragments abound. The bane of an English degree. No, wait, that would be cell phone text-speak which my two teenagers have elevated at warp speed to an art form. I'm an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher; learning begins at home. idk wut do u thnk? *going to wash my fingers out with soap*
Ciao, belleze!
NOTE: 8/14/09 -- trying to get the kiddos in school (jr. & sr. high this year!), last-minute dental appts completed, clothes and school supplies purchased. *whew* Will try to post something in the next few weeks. :-|
"Ah, as we prayed for human help:
angels soundlessly,
with single strides,
climbed over our prostrate hearts."

"What means then this bleating of sheep in mine ears?"

Now, here is a blithe, droll refrain:
the mem'ry of you is arcane.
