First, I started reading. I remember in the first grade I think I was ready to take out around five books. The Librarian had stop me, because we were only allowed to take out one book a week. But, then I went to the Public Library and found out I was able to borrow as much as I wanted. Books were like food to me. I couldn't survive without them
Then, in the 8th grade, I figured out I loved writing as much as I loved to read, since I was able to make up my own story. My own words. I could make anything I want happen. Mr Spina was able to show me how to write and what you needed to know before starting a story. He helped show me just how powerful words could be.
I love writing poetry and stories. I'm currently working on my first novel. Although I write stories more than poetry, I still try and write as much as I can. It includes poetry.
My favorite quotes:
“Normal love isn't interesting. I assure you that it's incredibly boring.” -Roman Polanski
“The weakest link in the chain is also the strongest. It can break the chain.” -Stanislaw Jerzy Lec
“The waste basket is the writer's best friend.” -Isaac Bashevis Singer
“They remember me as this shy girl sitting under the table. But they obviously didn't know what was going on in my head.” -Izabella Scorupco
“An excuse is worse and more terrible than a lie, for an excuse is a lie guarded.” -Pope John Paul II
"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself." (John Green, July 27 2007)

We struck fear into those bearing swastikas,
Or those wearing red with a sickle and hammer.39 lines, 1 comment, November 16, 2008. In world war II, pain, death, anger, patriotism, hope, rebellion, insurgents -
The stench of death flows through the air,
We walk in straight lines not allowed to make a sound,
