florida sunshine

basking in the light
the light of your warmth


you comfort me
and promise me strength


reminding me to do well in my writing
in my life, to reach my dreams
you believe in me



tediously reading
every last poem i beg you to read
sending encouragement to every one.



the warmth of your heart
shines like florida sunshine
bright and orange,


glowing



and drawing me near.

I watched [You dance on Air] and Crumble under Foot

 

The gooseflesh ripples
Tiny pricks of flesh
Rising
Shivers run through
To warm
The days seem shorter
The nights
Earlier
And still the beauty
That surrounds can be
Detected
Colors of warmth
Soak up any heat
That might have been
In the Air
Taking that feeling
Of security with them
As, in death, they fall
In a beautiful dance
Joining each other
On the crisp surface
Of the ground below
The smell of cold
Mingles with the
Sweetness of perfume
Tantalizing noses
And creating timid
Desires
With it’s cherry blossom
Romanticism
The spice of orange
Holiday spirit
Baked
To be served
As a gift of thanks
Crowning the glory
Of this season
Heralding the
Arrival of cider
And Snow Flakes
And mourning the
End of
Falling leaves
