~CLAIMED HEART~
(This intro will be heavily updated and changed real soon so stay tuned)

(( * Take no offense from the following mindscape, it is a representation of the internal struggle of good and evil in all of us. In me most of all. ))

"Push the limits of your sanity, test your soul"

Those were the words engraved in the stone arch that hung over the double doors of finest oak that you now stand before. The exact place you are at, you are not entirely certain, and why you are here, well, you know nothing of that either. What you do know, and do recall, is that you are in fact, in some kind of mansion, large and maze like, you have wandered the dimly candle lit halls with as much meaning as a lemming. Inexorably drawn, you find yourself standing before the already aforementioned doors and arch.

In Point of fact, one door was open a crack, and like a moth to a flame, you enter. The first thing you notice upon entering the room, is straight ahead of you sits a black oak desk, large and luxurious of Gothic tastes. The 'feet' of the desk are sharp metal talons that seem to clutch the lush blood red carpeting. Before further details of the desk could even sink in, your eyes are drawn to the only light source in the room, a fireplace off to the left, placed expertly into the wall, black marble surrounding the exotic edifice. Upon a mantel above that fireplace are pictures of seeming importance, encased in fanciful frames with wide ranging jewels and precious metals. The pictures mainly consist of women with the same man, or nobody at all, most likely photos of lovers, past or present, maybe even future. The only other decoration in that part of the room was the comfortable looking black leather chair that sat in front of the fire, and a small coffee table of white marble that stands out next to the chair. Beautiful carvings of angels flying through clouds decorate the legs and sides of the coffee table. An unlabeled glass bottle next to an empty wine glass contains what appears to be rich ruby red wine.

Casting your eyes back to the desk, you now take note of how empty the desk is in contrast to the rest of the room, the right wall being a gigantic display of photos, drawings, and sentimental posts and wall ornaments, so various that it would take you hours of study to know all of what was on that wall.. A gun rack is center of the artistic display on the right wall, the darker pictures centering around the gun rack that held numerous rifles and swords at once, it was made of a shining steel with a keypad lock.

Finally, and belatedly, your eyes take note of the thin line of smoke rising from the chair on the other side of the desk, a red plush chair, sitting upon wheels, the bare sound of squealing, very faint, the only other sound in the room besides the crackle of the fire and the beating of your heart. The chair turns around for the occupant of the room to face the newest occupant, you...

The man before you was in fact the man in the photos but older, not 16 or 18, but 20, at least in form, perhaps just a little bit older. However, with only a scarce few seconds, you seem to be hit by how old the man really seems to be, even with his youthful form. The man himself held what appears to be a large cigar but smell of something more akin to marijuana, but you can't be certain. In his other hand, he held a glass similar in design to the other, also filled with the same wine. The man's eyes were what gave him an aged look, and they were what drew you in the most, being a lush green that seemed to flash back and forth between that and a watery blue or a sea green. But the strange thing about his eyes is, it's very much like looking into a tunnel, and through that tunnel you saw another pair of green eyes, darker yet still, an emptiness and sadness indescribable within those orbs, but a hunger and obsession that overwhelmed all, almost insanely, red rage seemingly just below the calm and cruel sea waves that were the eyes of this man..

Your voice comes out barely, more a croak then words, "Who are y-" you break off as your eyes widen, rising up from the man to the ornate silver cross, larger then any man, that hung on the wall between two rain spattered windows, the most life like Jesus you had ever seen nailed to that cross, beneath that, painted blood makes a winding path down the wall to a framed painting closer to the ground, just above the man's head, of a group of people crying, covered in his blood, sobbing horribly. So life like...

The man stands then, putting the small butt out in the black and white marble ashtray. His left hand is held behind his back, the wine glass held in his right hand out before him an inch or two. Both of his hands were gloved in black leather gloves that fit tightly and lacked the shine of newer gloves. His clothes were actually a noble's military uniform, buttons of alternating gold and silver. Various medals decorate the chest, declaring the man before you a General of some army you have no idea of. Brown-blond hair is meticulously combed back. His nose appears to have been broken more then a couple times, and his goatee, though also meticulously cared for, was not the best around, though the man could easily be called handsome, his form lean and strong. His mouth barely moves as he speaks, his voice barely a whisper, barely heard above the crackling of the fire, and the splattering of the rain, "...I have many names, " his tone hollow but strong and drawing, his manner akin to a panther on the prowl, "...none which suit here and now..I am the world you see around you now, and you have come here...for something...What, I do not know, only you can answer that..."

As his voice trails off, you note that he wasn't even looking at you, but beyond you, to the wall and doors behind you. You spin around, expecting 'something' but not what you see...In stark contrast to the wall behind the man, this one held a hefty looking rusted steel cross covered in blood and hung upside down above the doors you had entered through, which were now closed. Decorating the surrounding wall was satanic, apocalyptic, and scientific graffiti...Blood splatters over nailed papers and photos of the people you vaguely remember seeing in the other pictures, but with horrid alterations sketched on in either pen, marker, or straight blood.

Behind the wall, as if it was flickering from transparent to solid over and over again, you can just barely make out purple hued faces screaming, clawing at their faces as if to dig some horrible pain from their very brains! But then an image flickers across the door, a younger version of the man that still stood behind you, hateful eyes pierce you even as the violent boy vanishes from upon the double doors, the wall flashing back to a normal wooden wall, no evil decor, no sick cross, your vision swimming...

" So...." The man starts, you spin around, your eyes locking upon purple orbs in a sea of acid green and an emotionless and fanged but fake smile, "...what is it you want of this gentleman....and, more importantly...what would you desire....

...For Your Soul?"

Soul Searching...

Can you find it within me...?

"Life is the path, child..."
"Can the path be seen..?"
"Observe the path and you are far from it..."
"Without observation, how can one be sure one is on the path..?"
"The path cannot be seen, nor can it be unseen. Perception is dellusion; Abstraction is nonsensical. Your path is freedom, name it, and it vanishes."

I am a follower of the perceived truth. You would think this a straight and narrow road, but you would be wrong, for it is ever changing with limited human understanding. Each day brings a new lesson, a different perspective, a difference in the Truth. There is the complete truth we strive for...Every day of our lives we long for the completion of ourselves, seeking within for what we cannot always find, just pieces to a larger puzzle. Most die, never knowing that completion, neither in idealistic ignorance(far more common) nor in complete truth(a rare fate).
This is the path I have chosen to follow, giving myself to a high power, an ideal, something above myself. My path is to do what I can to preserve the race of man and the continued word of God and Earth as facts and truths best support.
But do not confuse this idealism with fanatical religion, for you would be wrong. This is a science, a philosophy, and yes, even religion in ways as well. It is a way of life, a way to perceive things, a way to feel. This is a brotherhood, a church, a group of truth seekers, men and women brought together in one of the highest purposes; the pursuit of knowledge and truth. A love of life and of balance, of dark and light in union. A mind of both spirituality and of the most advanced science, that can only progress through the minds and spirits of those in the pursuit of a better and peaceful world.
Regardless of the religion you bow your head to or if you have none at all to care of, this is a path any man, woman, or child can follow. It is one that anything of good and balance can praise. It will welcome you,and you, in turn, may welcome it.

Obituary of the late Mr. Common Sense

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.

No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding and unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Tylenol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~ Robert Frost
