Fianna BlackShow poetry

My name is Kristin Leigh Anderson and I am an artist.

I see life as a beautiful experience with a definite end but an infinite amount of available love, kindness, and peace.

I see myself as a vessel for whatever I so choose on any particular day. I choose who I am and who I let in. Poetry is, of course, one way I do so.

I see art as expression

I'm also an 18-year-old girl straight from the midwest, trying to figure out life and her place in the world. I adore poetry and all kinds of artistic expression, including tattoos and piercings. I also enjoy all Zelda video games, old movies, and beautiful music.

I'm confused. How does art being expression, and the infinite possibilities and potentials thereof, make critique inapplicable? It seems to me that such a statement misses the point of critique. The *ideas* aren't being evaluated -- the efficacy of their expression and presentation is. Or else you've been receiving criticism in the name of critique.

(Don't be alarmed. You have been hit by a friendly Drive-by debate topic! Wheeee! No need to respond if you don't feel like it. Just a thought I had while passing through.)

You are really good.. You actually understand the motives and ideas behind my poetry.. You understand the true reason poems should be written... For interpretation..

Hmm, I was just thinking, do I know you in rl? We're both from Iowa, I'm seventeen, which town do you live in? Also, you're wearing a Star Wars tee, which makes me think that you know the people I hang out with. I'm intrigued. I also can't spell....so however that's spelled.
