Why I Write
I have a tendency to write mostly "free verse", I have written some lyrics and they will appear on the site gradually.
I don't like being defined by style anyway, I just try to convey a message or at least provide an enjoyable or interesting read.
My poetry is not necessarily about myself or my experiences. I believe life's lessons are out there, I am merely giving them a voice.
I started writing mostly at age 16, initially just to cover the requirements of High School English. I have had my poem "Upon The Spring" published in a book by the International Library of Poetry. I am currently typing my poetry into a manuscript format, with a view to self publish. When I succeed in this goal, the book will be called "The Wisdom Of Shadows".
I am caring for a woman that suffers from bi-polar
disorder. I am qualified to work as a Travel Consultant gaining my certificate around the time of 9/11. I have also studied Landscaping, and Hospitality (acquiring certificates to cover Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling). I previously worked as an Environmental Engineer supervising a community recycling facility in Sydney.
I enjoy movies, wide variety of music, poetry (of course), watching wrestling (for the comedy value) and playing with our Jack Russell terrier called Tim. I play Lawn Bowls, and have played soccer, cricket, golf and ten pin bowling in my youth.

Good news to all my friends and fans:
I can now afford to print a small run of 50 copies of my poetry book. Hopefully soon I will be able to print a larger number 200 - 500. I am just waiting for my ISBN (International Standard Book Number) which legally I must have for sale and taxation purposes. I expect it to retail for about $19 USD or $24 AUD. It will have 52 pages including 58 of my poems, table of contents and author biography (not exactly the same as on here though).
I am just so excited.

I have finally got a new home to live in, have completely moved in, still have some things to unpack but getting there. I am now back online with adsl2 - a high speed broadband plan - which is the same price as previous broadband package with the same 12gb download. I have missed all my friends here dearly and will be in contact with you all as soon as possible.
