Life is full of changes. My daughter got divorced this summer and is struggling to make ends meet, thus I am helping out as much as I can. My son, when he turns 18 in December, will be moving back in with me as she won't be able to keep him in the school he currently has been at. Me? It's been over a year since my first love passed away and I am surviving as usual, though did have a touch and go due to 'sensitivity' to a fire ant bite and the shot from the doctor for about a month now. Some of my strength is back finally despite my left ankle still being very achy when touched by anything (including my pants leg).
My brother takes care of my mom. After having been ill he had to drop out of college and has decided to try his hand to earn a small commission at: http://www.zazzle.com/nemos1271* I hope that people can go and check out his designs, vote and spread the word. Even better if they can afford to purchase one of them to help he and my mom out. Tell him his big sis sent you. Thanks for any help on this.

A lot of people wonder how to give people points so I have selected the info for those who don't know: http://allpoetry.com/help/give
To make this quick:
My book "Essence of a Rose" by Ember Rose Collins has been
published by Publish America. I am in the part of the process for the cover editor. No...I don't know about how to do pre-orders. Their number is 1-301/695-1707 and you can ask them.
It's a print after you pay paperback. It contains 179 of my pieces that over the years so many have said they like. Reason for the book is not to make money et al. My mom, whom never like me for much, told me she always believed in my writing. The book is for her and she has hung in there through her failing health.

astralshepherd on May 25, 2007great news about your upcoming book. Congratulations!
it is a wise move to remove the poems from the web, especially if they are going to be preserved in book form . . . you can always come back and post new ones here, or wherever, as you get ready for your second book.
