What to say about myself???
I started writing when I was in high school. I used to live in an imaginary world in my head to get away from the troubles of my real life. It was really neat for a while - everything that happened to me in reality was somehow echoed (in a smaller, and somewhat happier way) in my imaginary life. A lot of my high school poetry came out of this altered reality.
I no longer live in that imaginary world now that I have moved away from home and highschool. A lot of my pieces touch on my thoughts, emotions, and social issues. The songs and poems of Ani Difranco are some of my greatest inspirations, but also select pieces by Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, and other great Canadians.
I really like it when people comment on my pieces, especially some of my more controversial ones. I comment on every second poem I read these days, so if you'd do the same, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
UPDATE: I'M GOING TO BE PUBLISHED! David's Mistake and The Japanese Me Dilemna are both going to be published in an annual publication called "Outwrite" - pretty cool, eh?

kibitz on March 11, 2005hello, the kilted generation are a three person band. one plays the drums, the other the bagpipes and the other.. a humpophone... a self made guitar with more strings and smaller in size. they actually play really good sounding rock sounding music.. no singers.. but it's great.
they're only in perth and sometimes in other places of aus.. so yeah... hehe -
Flautist00 on January 12, 2005Hey thanks for your comment on my poem "Practice Room." It's AWESOME that you play the flute! Yay for all flautists!!
But the piccolo is wonderful too. You said your brother plays the piccolo, does he not play piccolo as well? And do you play flute but not piccolo? I suppose it's common to play flute without piccolo, but the other way around seems odd. Lol, anyway! Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for the comment.
Keep writing and God bless ya,
