I write the old fashioned way
nostalgic for fine verses,
full of brilliant things to say
with muses for my nurses.
I write so exceptionally well,
attacking my machine with zest.
It makes sure I can spell;
my ghostwriter does the rest!
Echoes of Keats, Byron, Shelley
swirl inside my head
as I pat my sagging belly
while my cat gets it said.
I will yet become a star,
the greatest of rhyming sages.
All my cat has written so far
impresses, astounds, and amazes!
Can't wait to be super great!
I know I will some day.
Always known this is my fate
with such brilliant things to say!

All above is so much guff.
For Ellis I do it all.
I'm the one who has the touch,
Ellis writes on the wall.
There is no hope for Ellis,
I do it all for him.
Too dense to be even jealous,
He pets me now and then.
So Ellis and I get along
Very well indeed.
People now, don't get this wrong:
It's me who makes this place succeed.
Ellis does not write a thing.
Nowhere is his poetry seen.

About the changes that we need
For this website to succeed.
It is such an obvious thing,
The change that I intend to bring.
All that's posted here must rhyme,
No free verse at any time.
Blank verse is not poetry.
It's as blank as a calm sea.
Free verse free of poetry
Is the same as prose to me.
It's a poem if it rhymes.
If it doesn't make sure it dies.
You must rhyme all the time,
Or we'll have to charge you fines.

Being in a place and time
