Hey, I'm EMOverlord, I've used this poetic name for poetry contests, in my band, and various other situations. I'm not the best poet, I know that, please don't be too harsh unless it's constructive. If you give me a comment like "hey, your poem sucks", than please take a meter long piece of rebar and shove it. I rarely use punctuation or capitals and everything I write about is past experiance or how I feel. My favorite poet and inspiration to write the way I do is the poet e.e. cummings. Many of his poems are hard to understand and have a double meaning. He developed his own form of writing poetry and in turn "cummingese", his own dialect of english.

Short of Me

Take the darkest part of the human mind, add an amazing girlfriend, a band, a guitar, death metal, four and a half chocolate chip cookies (I ate the other half, sorry) and bliss in the knowledge that one day soon, we're all going to die. Put all that in a blender, swirl it up, pour it out and bake it at 350 (F) for about 3 hours on a cookie sheet. That's me.
Time rushes towards us with its hospital tray of infinitely varied narcotics, even while it is preparing us for its inevitably fatal operation.
