Hi, my name is Doreen,

My name on here is a mixture of my childrens names and mine with a twist. I often write under the name of Dulcyflower. I love writing comedy poetry mainly, but do write on true life stories in our world today. One of my main objectives at the moment is to help the Make Poverty History Campaign and also my feelings on all these ridiculous wars that keep happening when there is no need and I have written a few poems in support of this.

However like I say, I do write a lot of comedy and have been compared by my friends as a second Pam Ayres, only time will tell if they are right.

I shall shortly be adding more poems to this site. I did not know this site existed till my dear friend John (Humblpye) directed me.

I have been writing now for quite a few years but have only in the last couple of years decided to put any available for people to view due to the good comments I got from friends who thought my work was good.

I am told I am funny, and I hope you will think so too. I do prefer to record my poetry as well and all of my poems that I shall be putting on here can also be heard www.icompositions.com/artists/doreeny some are to music, some are not.
