I am a Greek American who aspires to be a novelist, though I currently feel in despair as far as the latter is concerned. I am proud of both my Greek and Scottish lineage and am a lover of history in general, but especially of Medieval and Byzantine history. If you want to know about the Byzantine Empire then I highly recommend John Julius Norwich's A Short History on Byzantium, that is, if you can not get copies of his original trilogy.

I found Allpoetry purely by accident when I was searching for a poem on "Fear" for my Creative Writing class. I was astounded by all the brilliant poets and aspiring writers that cross this site, and Allpoetry's sister sites. I prefer this as an internet safehouse to talk and associate to Myspace due to the fact that people here tend to be more intelligent, and therefore far less annoying, and Allpoetry is just far more interactive and useful.

A few things about me:

-I love Imperial purple and a couple of things associated with that color, including the Byzantine Empire and Deathly Nightshade, a truly beautiful flower whose name "Belladonna" ("beautiful lady" or "beautiful woman") is well-deserved.

-I am obsessed with Dragons and dragonkind in general, though I am quite picky on the subject. It is my wish to see more artwork where Dragons are bi-pedal sentient creatures (I have seen a few depictions of such Dragons wearing breastplate, but these are too rare).

-I think succubi are hot, though you can keep any incubi for yourself, thank you.

-If you asked me to choose between Sci-Fi and Fantasy, I would ask that you give me Fantasy but throw out all the magic, but keep all the monsters, dragons, swords, and armor.

-I absolutely *hate* time travel in books and, especially, movies. Ironically, I really like the book Time Line by Michael Crichton.

-My two favorite words are paradox and conundrum.

-I am a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, and proud of it. (I wish that I could get a chi-rho to use for this site. >.<)

-I like Metal, Cultural, and Classical music best, and when you put the two together, I think that is friekin' awesome. (I also like a random assortment of all types of music.)
