My total escape, lies in one who rescued me when I could not stand. Whose loving embrace has lifted my soul. Whose mysterious ways still attract me to him. Without him I am nothing. If he hadn't found me, I would be lost, utterly and hopelessly so. There is nothing that compares to the beauty of knowing him. He captivates me in a way I never thought possible. His endless beauty astounds me, and his forgiving nature, makes him all the more irresistable. When I can be with him, my soul will truly find the peace it desires. He is my brother, my savior, my lover, my friend. My greatest secret, and yet my most known companion. His radiance is what makes me live. His grace I cannot live without. He is truly the greatest man to have ever lived. He is my savior. The one and only, Jesus Christ.

Poetry comes very natural to me. So easy in fact that most of my poems take me less than five minutes to write. I'm a huge fan of rhyme and rhythm, as is proven by most of my poems where I am constantly rhyming. My best poems have been deleted off of the site because I am looking to publish them. As soon as I do, I will be sure to inform you.
Sometimes the best poems aren't about what your feeling at the time, because often people write when they need to vent. If I'm feeling angry or upset, I write about Spiritual warfare and topics like that. Allow yourself to think outside of your own emotions, and you may end up with a masterpiece.
In my twenty years I have come to know rejection as a close friend. I have come to know it well enough that I thought about taking my own life six years ago. After realizing what a mistake that would be, I sought professional help and homeschooled the following two years to "find" myself. Now I sit here to tell you that you don't have to be "popular" to be fit in, and you don't have to fit in to be cool. Be yourself, because chances are, the people that don't like you the most are the ones that are most jealous of what you are. An individual with your own thoughts and ideas.
My motto, "Live your life as if you were being watched," comes from hearing many times from one of my pastors, "What would you do if your life was shown on the big screen?" Previously, I would be mortified. Which is why I try to live my life like I was always being watched.
I don't tend to write dark poetry, I prefer more deep, thought-provoking work. Which explains why that's what I ask for in my contests.. I love writing about spiritual things or humorous poems..
Though I don't write in this form, my email, should you wish to contact me, is Freeverse7@gmail.com.
