I have been writing poetry for over three years now. I write whatever pops into my head, most of it is quite sad, but that's my way of dealing with stuff. My poems are really private, only a few people get to see them... and you guys of course!
Um... what else? Well, my name's Maria, I'm 18, and I live in South Canterbury of NEW ZEALAND!!! Woot yeah!! I'm kinda insane lol but who cares?!?
I've been told that I should write more happy stuff. Here's the thing. When you have seen and heard and done and lived through what I have... the misery and the despair comes through a lot better than all the happy skippy tra-la-la BULLSHIT does. Life isn't a bed of fucking roses so why the hell would I portray it as such?

We both know that I don't often open up to you,
but what really matters to me is that I have the option to.
But fuck it, your problems put my issues to shame,
and don't we know exactly who's to blame!
I'm sorry the world has treated you so bad.
And what I wouldn't give for ten minutes in a room with your dad.
I'd take to the bastard with a rusty saw!
Cos in your words he turned you into an alcoholic whore.
Hell if you just want sex that's fine with me,
but you know it won't be more, to him sex's all it will ever be.
I guess in the past we should have treated Chris better,
but that's no excuse for him to act like a wanker!
Honey, please don't let him use you, seeing it's hard to handle.
Flashback if you can - this is just like what he did to Kendyl!

Especially the "government". hopefully enough people like you can change the way people treat other people that are different and possibly some of those stupid laws.
