I just cleaned up a few of my old poems, and I realised that I have come a LONG way through my poetry. Not in the writing itself but more in my own attitudes.
Going back, and reading things that I wrote back in 2004 when I was 16, and even things I wrote before that (but stuck up on this site anyway), I have changed a lot, what I think about, my outlook on life etc.. But the WAY I think has always stayed the same.
I don't keep my work on here going for other people anymore. Friends I no longer have were the reason I made it, and the reason I started writing a few meaningless poems just for the hell of it, but now I write just for myself when I feel I need to.
Thank you to anyone who has *ever* left me a comment, and all those of you who plan to in the future.
I have found myself thinking about even the most seemingly insignificant of comments when writing poems and stories and whatever else, long after I received them, and they have definitely helped. So thanks.
