My name is Amanda, I'm 18, from a small town in South Florida. I'm only about 30 min. from West Palm Beach. The love of my life is Brian Goggans. If you go to my web page you should be able to see he and me together... even prom pics!
I don't have this big past full of poetry, just a few days after Christmas when I was 13, I picked up a pen and wrote my first poem about a woman. And I loved it, I was proud of myself - that I could write something like this. But I didn't write another poem until I was almost 15.
By then I was learning many important lessons that I still look back on today. I also thought I felt love for another... come to find out, it was only a very small infatuation. But he said he loved me and I was tired of feeling bad every time he said it and I didn't return it. From this emotional rollercoaster of a time blossomed my most beloved talent... Poetry.
It just happened one day sitting in detention with nothing to do. I just started writing and I've never stopped since.
I've come a long way form that poem of the woman...
I also write stories, but not so often... poetry just seems so much easier to me sometimes.
I hope you find something you like in my small collecion, I hope you tell me what you truly think if you're going to critique me, and I hope you talk to me even if you haven't read a damn think I've written
I just graduated high school and I'm about to start college, any advice anyone?

I haven't read everything, but what I have read, seems like it's all about love. there's nothing wrong with that, but you might want to try expanding your themes.
if all you eat every day is pizza, you'll eventually get sick of it
