Umm... I write a lot of poetry. My older stuff isn't as good as my new stuff, but that's probably because people change in style as they progress.
I believe that rhyme is the lowest form of poetry, and is easiest to manipulate. That isn't to say I don't use it, but I don't expect much praise for its usage. Rhyme is best done in slam, which is also something I really enjoy. I don't post up most slam poetry, however, because slam is meant to be performed, not read.
I tend to write when I am upset, a bit of a theraputic thing for me. That is why most of my poems seem bitter and depressive. For you see, when I am in pain I curl up all alone, and writing seems to be the most decent outlet (among many other things), but when I am happy I want to go out and be free. When I'm happy I want to touch the world, feel the world, smell the world, and taste it! Not sit around and write about it..
OH! I also write when I am in what I call "lovey-dovey" mode. Because passion is approximatly four billion times more beautiful when described through poetry. Well, perhaps passion and love are more beautiful when you actually feel them than read them... and... oh I confused myself. I have to stop now. =)

There's a poem that your introduction reminds me of- I can't remember the author, but it's called "sex goddess" and it talks about how this girl is the SEX GODDESS OF THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE and carries a big bag of SEX TOYS everywhere she goes- the capitals were already included.
