DawnknightShow poetry

I have not updates in ages, mostly because I have not had the heart to write more poetry. The poetry I wrote when I was of the age of innocents was good for that time, now that I am more mature I find myself seeing the world so darkly that not even my own self can bring light to it. I do not wish to place on those who have enjoyed my writing so far the darkness I endure, so I have stopped writing poems. However stories are a different matter. I plan to revamp and update most of my stories on this site. I will delete the old and update the new. I hope you enjoy the new versions of my old classics.

SCHOOL TIME

I am back at Clark up in MA so I will be posting very little for the next few months. I enjoyed this summer immensley and will try to still comment on poems as consistantly as I am able.

July 4th INDEPENDENCE DAY

Because of this beautiful holiday celebrating out break from British Opression I am going to update and place on this site ALL FOUR PARTS of The Rivers Family story that I have been writing. I thought it appropriate to do it on such an important day in USA’s short but full history.
First the poem

Are There Rivers In Heaven? - allpoetry.com/Poem/1360986 : This is what I plan on the Third Entry of The Rivers Family story to be called, for now it is a poem to try and promote my book, like what i did for Lady of Virtue which did not work BY THE WAY .

Here they are in order from 1-4

Part 1 - storywrite.com/story/1356369 : You meet the characters of the story and get acquainted with the many problems they face.

Part 2 - storywrite.com/story/1361494 : More trouble with love and brothers, Avalan thinks everything will work out in the end, she is the hope that all the boys cling to.

Part 3 - storywrite.com/story/1363794 : Love across races will never be looked at by all as good, especially during the mid 1800’s in the USofA.

Part 4 - storywrite.com/story/1368137 : A Journey begins but not north as all would have wanted byt south deper into “enemy” territory and away from their home they devoted their whole life to.

I say I am going to update then I don’t not a very trustworthy person am I? Well here it is, I think this is going to be a monthly update instead of just a weekly one. Here goes with the many things I have been working on.

Lady of Virtue - allpoetry.com/poem/1309061 : Based on my new and most important story based on my fantasy world of Myztyka, this is a description of the two main characters and their reasons for their actions.

(2) storywrite.com/Story/1300479 : More exploration into Rodan and Margaret’s involvement in the story.
(3) storywrite.com/Story/1309083 : More intruige and a story from the past will start here.
(4) storywrite.com/Story/1312297 : The past begins with a revealing of a characters motives and a adventure beginning.

May 31, 2005

Wow I have not updated this in a long time, but since I am out of school and now working I have more time to write and think of ideas. This entry will be long but the subsequent ones will be shorter since I hope to update each week, here goes nothin’.

Only Twice They Meet - allpoetry.com/Poem/1203870 : This is about lovers meeting only twice in their times it is not as good as most.
The Breeze - allpoetry.com/Poem/1213682 : This is this years ode to spring poem, something I hope to do every spring, just to keep me up with the seasons.
Last Words of the Heart Holder - allpoetry.com/Poem/1284675 : Sequel to my long dialouge poem called Last words of the Oath Sworn : allpoetry.com/Poem/1003381 . A story I will continue thus until i believe it is done.
My Protector - allpoetry.com/Poem/1285999 : The explanation for this poem is in the Author’s Comments.
Lady of Virtue (May 29) - allpoetry.com/Story/1291355 : This is a story shorter then The Gift but longer then Dawn of Night . It will come in sections each week which I will post up on this page so that all of them will be easy to access. The story surrounds a war that no one wants to fight but all no it is coming, the stratigies before, during, and after the war to keep peace, to settle peace, and to enforce peace.

Now for my (in) famous Quotes from movies that I have seen or want to see.

Kingdom of Heaven : Now if you haven’t figured out thus far that I am a fan of Orlando Bloom then you haven’t been reading the quotes that I had up last year. I know I should be more safisticated and like better actors but I enjoy watching him on screen and I enjoy indulging in his beauty when I watch him on screen, so I plan to continue to like him until someone else comes along. Here are the quotes I enjoyed from the movie:

Godfrey of Ibelin : You are not what you were born, but what you have it in yourself to be.

Balian of Ibelin : You go to certain death.
Hospitaller : All death is certain.

Godfrey of Ibelin : Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Speak the truth, always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong. That is your oath.

Balian of Ibelin : What man is a man who does not make the world better?

The Aviator : Now I would not be promoting this movie if I did not completely go back on my words that I completely and utterly loath Leo Decap. I hated him in Titanic (I am probably one of the few people in the world who HAVE NOT SEEN THE WHOLE MOVIE ) and loathed him in Gangs of New York and Catch Me if You Can . Now I actually will sit down and watch the Aviator because it is not Leo I see on screen playing another character it IS Howard Hughs. So here is the quote from the movie:
Howard Hughes: The way of the future.

The Next two movies have been a pain in the feet, those who come and watch them seem to be so engrossed in the movie they forget to throw away their trash, which becomes my chore. Please remember to pick up your trash no matter if the movie was pewrfect of was terriable those who work at the movie theatre will appreciate it.

Madagascar

Skipper : Remember, cute and cuddly, boys. Cute and cuddly.

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - The way I look at this movie is that it was better then Episode I & II but worse then Episodes IV, V, &; VI.

Anakin Skywalker : You hesitate... the flaw of compassion.
Obi-Wan: It's not compassion. It's reverence for all life, including yours.

Senator Amidala : What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists, and the Republic has become the very evil we have been fighting to destroy?

Anakin Skywalker : You're either with me or you're my enemy.

Senator Amidala : [to Bail] This is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause.

Anakin Skywalker : I want more, and I know I shouldn't.

I have not updated for a long time here are my poems and story I have written in the last 3 weeks.
Poems~
A Breath Away - allpoetry.com/?Poem/1192365 : This has a connection to two characters in my on going story Secrets . You will have to read the stories to understand this poem.
The Rose - allpoetry.com/?Poem/1169789 : About a wife only seen as a possesion and a lover who only brings pain and death, the imagry is all connected to the red rose.
I Do not Know - allpoetry.com/?Poem/1154434 : A talk of things I just do not understand. Do you?
Dance - allpoetry.com/?Poem/1151893 : Remember last year when i wrote about the Hell Week of Dance. Well this was inspired by this semester’s hell week, it is short not like the week of nightly dance practices.
Dark Sky - allpoetry.com/?Poem/1150457 : I am really proud of this poem, it just came out like my Conversation of Death and The Knight . I have no idea what inspired me to write this at this moment but you can see that it has something to do with war.
Poem:Nurtur with Love - allpoetry.com/?Poem/1146402 : Remember my Sweet Spring poem? Well this is my ode to the season with a connection to writing.

Story~
The Seer - storywrite.com?/story/1178126? : Within my storyline Final Frontier and series Secrets. The next two characters are revealed in this on going story where anything can happen.

I have seen Sin City and can personally say that it is the purist art of film. I love every single scene (cept one) and all the actors were great (cept one). The exceptions to my praise is the “Guest Director’s” scene and Britney Murphy’s performance. Everything else was like watching a really good comic book come to life.

March 24, 2005

I have added two new poems and extended my story.
Expectations of Love - THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE, Walter Sage is a bodyguard and Valor Rose has something she needs guarded. The setting is the same as my still dorment Story called Last Frontier: Ember Scapes . This is the final draft of the first chapter of this increasingly interesting and confusing story. You’ll have to continue to check up on it to see what happens nexted.
The Debut -I rhyme though to me it is forced, what do you think?

March 4, 2005

Since it is two months to my b-day I will place on this site my b-day poem. I explain my reasoning in my author comments for making it so far ahead of my b-day.

March- One Year Aniversary at allpoetry.com
I never thought I would survive. Thanks to all
who clapped and commented on my poems
and STORIES . I will try to finish all of my
stories, but writers block is something even
the best writers have, at least thats what I tell
my self to feel better. I will put some more
quotes up soon, just let me get them all organized.
Dawnknight is very excited to put NEW quotes up
one that I haven't used before, so we will be looking
this weekend. Thanks for reading this, now, please
read and comment on my poems, we both
appreciate the compliments.

NEW Quotes:

Sin City: A violent, bloody, sex filled and nudity ridden comic being made by it writer and a friend into a motion picture. Some say the next Pulp Fiction, others say the best compilation of actors ever. I say who cares just bring on the great cinematography the B&W film and the great acting and I will enjoy it. Here are some quotes FROM THE COMICS, that have been butcherd by the trailer.

The Trailer says and I quote “Its time to prove to your friends your worth a damn, sometimes that means dying sometimes that means killing a whole lote of people.”

People use this quote as their signature on the message boards as if putting this on would make them true fans of the comics. Not likely.
The REAL quote goes as follows:

No more false moves
no more dumb mis-
takes. Stay smart.
Stay cool. Stay steady.
It’s time to prove to
your friends that
your worth a damn.

You got to stand up for
your friends. Some-
times that means dying
sometimes it means
killing a whole lot of
people.

I truly hope that Dwight (Clive Owen) say this correctly. I know trailers usualy butcher quotes from movies, cutting lines out that they think aren’t important. The best example “Luke I am your father” which if any sane person would know was NOT IN THE FILM. But that doesn’t stop people from using it as if it came from the film.

Another quote from Sin City :

“Us Girls, Us helpless little girls”- Gail (Rosario Dawson), the leader of the Old Town Girls, who are definatly NOT helpless.

Shrek 2:

Puss-in-Boots: I hate Mondays.

Donkey: Oh, Shrek. Don't worry. Things just seem bad because it's dark and rainy and Fiona's father hired a sleazy hitman to whack you.

Shrek: Join the club. We got jackets.

Donkey: You're supposed to say "You have the right to remain silent!". No one said I have the right to remain silent!
Shrek: Donkey, you HAVE the right to remain silent. What you lack, is the capacity.

Can you imagine another Shrek, well the makers are and I just don’t know what their going to do this time. Are they actually going to have kids? Are we going to meet Shrek’s family? Is DRAGON ever going to be in the actual movie? Questions will all be answered in 2007.

While were waiting we can always watch- Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest (coming out July 7 2006), for those memorable lines that we know Jack Sparrow is going to say. I can’t wait, really, I can’t. So I will probably be crying that they are not making Orlando Bloom playing both his father and his original character, we will never learn why Jack chose Barbosa for his first mate rather then, Bootstrap Bill or as he calls him Will Turner (the elder). But I can’t blame them, the teeny-bopers who go to these movies only for Orlando Bloom would get an overdose of his beauty and die, to much complications with the heart beating to fast and then completely stoping. They would go bankrupt immediately with all the civil suits, so they didn’t use my plot. Oh well I will some day finish MY VERSION of the sequel to Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl .

I could do more quotes but I have to actually do some school work. So this is TO BE CONTINUED, at another date. Enjoy my poems.

    I just stopped by today
Hope you are having a wonderful day
    That's festive and really gay
Because I would have it no other way

    Champagne at midnight...bootie call,
watch our for St. Nick, he ain't that tall
Drink moderately so you don't fall
And if you're quesy--lean against the wall

What started out as a little note
Became a poem the size of a boat
    My head is medically afloat
My dog has now turned into a goat

    Happy Holidays Gregg
