I have revamped my page completely because I have revamped my poetry completely. I lost interest for a while until I was asked to write a poem for English class when I was met with praise. Then a few more poems just kind of fell out of me and I'm back in it.
I am most and foremost a musician, but oddly enough, my knowledge of music hardly influences my writing. There is nothing visual about the way I write music. I don't consider image when I write. But rythm is the key to good poetry so I think that if anything it is my music that is influenced by my poetry.
I'm still a student in the act of studying. I never plan to stop studying. Unfortunately, poetry is not something that in the past I have studied as much as other things. My reason for joining AP is to be flushed with lots of sensory input and taught, inspired, and corrected. I invite all criticism. If you praise me too much I'll become more arrogant that I allready am.
