for their baby Sophia Lea who left this life too soon.

Animals I have helped or tried to.

Daphidil, Rocky, and Tono...Baby Wild Rabbits...I saw their mother get killed by dogs and then I found them in a small burrow in the backyard at Heartland Villa where my grandma lived at the time, they were still blind and so small. I knew they were going to mow the grass the next day so I took them home with me...everyone said they would never survive but I showed them. I fed each of them with an eyedropper every morning before school, every afternoon as soon as I got home, and every night before going to bed until they could drink on their own. Sorry to say Daphidil died but not from lack of care. Rocky and Tono grew up and got to the point where they would stand up in a corner and box everyone except me, so I had to go let them go deep in the woods but I made sure there was a NO HUNTING sign where I took them...I still miss them after all these years and they are probably dead by now from old age I hope not though...

Baby, Lionel, Chirpy, and Piper...Baby Sandpipers...I found each of the sandpipers Lionel, Chirpy, and Piper in the same area around the front of Heartland Villa and I was still young then and could catch them so I wanted to take them home but all of them (I had them at different times) chirped all night long...so annoying~ So my mom made me take them back where I found them...sorry to say I cried for days over each one cause when I put them back I had to watch the mothers peck them to death later I found out it was cause my scent was on them. Anyway not long ago (August 10th or close) Me and my mom were driving down a road at night, there were no other cars cause it was a country road and we found this baby sandpiper (Baby) in the road...it couldn't have been more then 5 days old...I went out to scoot it out of the road when I saw a bunch of feathers along the edge of the road I knew it's family had been killed by something...so I took it home but it would not eat and it started chirping fours hours on end so we took it back out that road, to another spot where there were a couple of sandpipers running around and I took a towel and wiped off my scent and layed it (with the towel) on the ground, slid it off the towel and went back to the car, and we watched to see what would happen......A momma sandpiper came over and sat on it and the more we watched the more I realized she was helping it so the outcome for that one was good.

Passion...Cardinal...Someone had hit a redbird (Cardinal) and did not kill it...in fact did not even seem to hurt it but we were skeptical cause it wouldn't move and it was in the middle of the road, so I went over carefully picked it up and we took it to the vet....Glad to say that I called back the next day and they said after about an hour of just letting it rest they took it out back and it flew away, so it was just stunned

Sweetie...Dwarf Hamster...When we took Ju-on, Toshio, Chucky, Tiffany, Callisto, and mom's hamsters up to the Pet Food Center to sell...They had two little dwarf hamsters in an aquarium and one started having seizures then just layed (But she was still breathing) The lady just scooped her up in a box, closed it, and threw her in the trashcan! I took the box out and opened it to find her still breathing and I couldn't put her back in the trash still alive so my mom asked if we could take her to the vet...she said she didn't care and we did...but she died right as we entered the parking lot of the vet.

Frisky and Layla...Puppies...On the same road we let Baby go on a couple years before we found Baby we found 2 puppies on the side of the road, very friendly...we took them up to the farmhouse (The only one around) to see if they were his but he said they weren't and I would have loved to take them in but of course we've never really lived in a place where dogs were allowed so instead we took them to the shelter...and they were adopted within 3 days

Night.....Baby Owl....Last night (10/27/05) we were driving in the dark down to the road where I had found Frisky and Layla but before we got to that paticular road a little owl flew in front us quickly from a tree and we did not have time to see it and we hit it...when we went back to see if it was dead it was just sitting in the road (dazed) so we scooped it into an Avon bag (the only thing we could find) and took it to the Truckstop to call for the police but the guy in the restraunt part of the Truckstop used to raise owls and a family member of his was a vet tech in training so he took it home to revitalize it and bring it back to full health and then said he would let it go out on his father's farm where it can't get hit again and his farm is 400 acres! so this turned out nice. (thank goodness)
