In the sheep lost from the flock,
in the sick and dying,
in the blood of the tortured.
In the smile of an alcoholic
There you will find me.

I am the tar that scorches your feet,
the sun that burns your face.
I am the ice that freezes your soul,
the wind that stings your eyes.
In this you will find me.

I am the drug that courses your veins,
the smoke that fills your lungs.
I am the cancer in your heart,
and the blade across your wrists.
In this you will find me.
