My name is Josh. I was born on a U.S. military base in Cuba (dad was in the U.S. Navy), moved to Florida till i was 4, lived in Australia till i was 10, and came back to the U.S. (Virginia). I started writing poetry seriously when i was around 16. I never thought i would take such a passion to it, but it has helped me through a great deal. But so has Jesus, he has given me strength in situations i knew i couldnt deal without him. Many times have i contemplated suicide, but He is there for me, and Thank the Lord for it.

My poetry is typically a mix between dark and kind of forboding tones as well as the lover side of me and my romantic ways. I will/have posted several new and many old poems that i wrote when... i really couldnt write let me know what you think please.  Ive been a part of this website since 11/20/2003

I think im gona take a break with the adding of poems and start concetrating on reviewing for awhile so, if you review mine i will definitely try to get around to review one of yours. Maybe not immediately but i will make sure i get around to it. PROMISE.

Kinda got a writers block, i really want to work on a poem, but i have a feeling that a couple will come out of it. But i think they will be good.

You know what i just noticed that a majority of people's favorite poem and poet on their ap page is "The Raven" and Edgar Allan Poe.  Is it just because that is such a well known poem and he is the author of it and no one can think of anything else or what?  I think it is just because it is so famous.  For the most part im sure there are some who really enjoy the deep dark secrets hidden in Poe's amazing and unique writings.
