I got into poetry when I was in 7th grade. I was in my art class with my teacher Mr. Brown and we were suppose to make a Haiku or something and make it go a long with an art project. Now at this point in my life I didn't know that I could be so creative and in fact I was a real bookworm. Well any way I was still into the whole wanting to be a Paleontologist (study of dinosaurs and other ancient things) so I had all these bones real bones from 5th grade outdoor ed. and I put them into my art project and made a poem then we kept doing more and more about poetry and art and I just feel in love with writing. So I've been doing it ever since. I've written over 400 to 500 poems and I have about 200 something on this site. Now I have 2 binders (2inch rings), 5 journal books, and 3 or 4 regular spiral notebooks. Its a way of expressing myself when I can't say it. It's a form of art to show the reader kind of like a story for example Raven by Edger Allen Poe one famous poem and when I read it I can see everything thats happening to the person. When you can create an image of the poem in your mind that is when you can understand and get the full effect of the poem either you or someone else has written. That is my own concept of poetry and my own little story.
