I'm not going to go to the trouble of writing a poem about myself here. Instead, I'll simply explain where I'm coming from. I'm a 23 year-old graduate student who grew up in Texas but is living in Ohio. I study music composition, but love poetry. The more I learn about language and how it relates to music, the more I realize that writing poetry is very similar to writing a melody. Poetry is my hobby, not my career, but I'd love to get something published eventually if I get good enough. That's why I'm here. I want people to read my poems and give constructive feedback so I can get better. Thanks for reading.
