Hello My name is Crissy & first of all I would like to say thank you for taking the time to visit my page, it is very much appreciated.
I am a 30 year old female born & raised in Colorado, I began writing poetry at a very young age as a way to express myself.
I kept it to myself for over 10 years until someone very near and dear to my heart (my grandmother) passed away & I decided I wanted to write a poem for the memorial service.
I shared it with friends and family & when I seen the effect it had on people and how it touched them, I decided to share more of my work with others.
I heard about this site from my niece Desiree, who also writes poetry, & I began posting some of my poems here.
I have overcome a lot of obstacles in my life, as I am sure many of us have & I have learned to deal with the pain, hurt, & regret by releasing all that emotion. I have learned to do so by writing poetry.
Some of my entries on this site are very dark, deep & painful to read but I hope you will read them with an open mind and realize the emotion that went into them.
