CrionShow poetry

I have always loved words. They have the power to send one person's thoughts and feelings to another person--or many others. And not only meanings: they also have sounds and rhythms. Words paint pictures; they create worlds. They're all unique, even when they _mean_ the same thing. "Dusk" is not the same as "twilight"--"lightning bug" is not the same as "firefly."

I truly believe this: if you want to change the world for the better, one of the best ways to do it is through words: using them with love--using them well.

You, Poet! You have in your hands the lightning bolts of the heavens! You have the rosy dawn, the stir of the wind, the early light on the sea. What will you do with these things?
