I started writing poetry to calm my self one night... too much emotion to hold in. I grabbed a pencil and a piece of paper and started transposing my thoughts to words. From there it was all gravy. Stress + pain equaled poetry. It has been a companion to me in my darkest times, but never my brightest. Only the negative emotions seem to bring my thoughts to paper. But without darkness I cannot define the light, so I take the good with the bad, especially because with the bad comes more poetry.
I am the former lead singer in a few bands including System Failure, Dreams May Die, and Devious Bastards and can now add lyrics amongst my writings.
I really enjoy the input of others on my poems and songs. It is a reflection upon my self. After all sometimes it requires the eyes of a stranger to truly see ones self....
Favorite Bands:
Killswitch Engage
Atreyu
Weezer
Apocolyptica
Sting
Also you really must look into these poets:
WingsOfObsidian

Account Closed198 on July 7, 2006I reiterate how impressed I am before I go on with my mindless little note. . . .
You probably will find this difficult to believe, but you are my exact twin, save the hair, as I have dyed mine, although it used to be the same color as yours too. I do mean exact as well, the features that is. I have acne so some of my skin tone is a bit off from yours but seriously, it was funny as hell to look at your page and actually think for a second "Is that me?".
Okay I'm done now *adds to favorites so he can return later and goes back to his videogame*
Ta-Ta Deary,
Emonquente.
