I like a wide range of poetry and stories. One of the greatest story tellers was Mark Twain who ranks up there with some other lesser known story tellers that I have met. One of them is Mrs. Sally Wingo and George Younce a gospel singer. Both of these dear souls have departed to glory. But if a poem or a story is written well and has a moral to it that you will remember, then that author has done thier job. I have come to like many forms among them the haiku which is something that I consider little gems.
Inspiration comes in many forms, whether it be on a walk or just watching children at play. I find creativity in what is around me, natural order of things or sometimes what comes to me on the wind.
It is hard to say who is my favorite poet but I tend like the old bard himself Shakespeare, Carl Sandburg, Walt Whitman and others. I like the poetry in the books Ideals and enjoyed the book Standing In The Rainbow by Fannie Flagg a lot. I love free verse probably better but can do rhyme. I guess we are all individuals and I do not restrict myself to one form. I have had one book published called The Twelfth Of Never and I have written six others with other books planned. I have a lot of favorites here among them. Samplette, chaplain, Vickie J, Wandika, Red Red Rose, sandygram and well many others as you will see on my favorites list.
Okay I have adopted my first AP child and will see about others. So AsHisBlackHeartDies is my first AP child. My second adopted daughter is
dreamer wind. She is a lovely soul that I am proud to know.
I have adopted Amber Moonjava as my grandchild.
Many times people try to change around the wording of my pieces and sometimes it works however to completely change is well this is a quote that a Russian author made. "Originality and a feeling of one's own dignity are achieved only through work and struggle." Feodor Dosteyevsky (1821-1881) I believe we must be true to our own unique individually.
