As for the wonderful judges, I would like a round of applaud for Countrybabe and Legend who have helped in the judging thoughout the contest and are precious gems
Along with being great judges they are also brilliant writers.Have a look at their pages, you never know where you might find a new favourite
Legend
Countrybabe
The scoring system changes this round. The two judges as usual have 10 points to give and for this round you have to write FOUR poems so that'll make 40 points for each judge with the extra 10 points for the overall quality of all the poems. So 100 points in total to go with my 100 points and 50 points by the votes of the contestants.Yes, you will be voting this time, I'll tell when though
__________________________________________________________________________
Now not wasting any more time I'll get down to what you have to write.
Here is your last challenge:
Write a poem telling a story. It can short or long though I generally prefer the sightly longer ones and set in medieval times.
Tell me a tale, SHOW me that world with figures of speech, weave it with poetic mechanisms, double entendres, twists and turns, poetic phrasing. Give me a unique perspective, make me see the image and relate it to your tale, make me understand what I'm seeing, or make me dangle from the curiousity.Give me dramatic elements.
For the second poem you have to write a form poem. The forms you can choose are sonnets, villanelle, pantoum, quaterns or rhymation (My form)allpoetry.com/Poem/2281509 This is difficult and will fetch more points from me if done well and negatives if done badly lol.
Most of these should have chains in them and if your doing a sonnet do a double or a triple sonnet chain, etc. As for the pantoum, you can go on with any length so it doesn't matter A link incase you'll don't know some of these forms:
Shadowpoetry
For the third poem I would like a poem appealing to the five senses and making the reader sense a particular kind of emotion. It is the basics of poetry to make the reader feel a particular thing when you write, so this is a good recap!(Don't tell me about some smell of a food or I'll throw you out of the contest
And at last for the fourth poem, you have to write a poem in which there is at least two of the following poetic devices:
Metaphor, simile, oxymoron, onamatepoeia, hyperbole.State the word or lines in the authors comment.Length is solely up to you and yes, you also have to get in the following words somewhere in the poem:
Tranquil, wanton, ruminate, lament, sacred, rime, aesthetic, aversion, transition and languish.
__________________________________________________________________________
This should take quite some time, so I'm willing to keep it as long as you want it open and I'll advise you to take your time, think and write well
Start writing and best of luck with this
I was surprised to see that in the last few rounds nearly all the contestants were commenting on each others poems
I think I have done something good via this contest to achieve that as you don't see too many people praising fellow contestants in the same contest lol.Thats what makes this even more enjoyable

Good Luck To All Entrants

Yeah!Your the only person to have quit in the last three rounds
-
Thanks
-
You don't expect them within a day, do you?
-
May take a week just to think about what to write.
Thinking!
-
congrats to all.
And good job to you mark and cohosts for a successful season!
I would love to see a second one come our way!
if there is another one I'll definitely enter.
Good luck all of you- I believe all five of you deserve to be where you are. The bright side is no one can lose.. because if you look at the big picuture, out of 125, each 5th place is a respective place!
if you divide them by five.. coming in 5th place out of 125 is like coming in 1st out of 25, which is good too!
If I were betting my money, I'd say Kirby is going to win.
But if I had to choose one... just one- I'd prefer Maa's poems.
No matter who wins... you know... I'd be happy.
-
Take as much time as you want and I'll extend the contest.I just want the best you'll can come up with
-

-
Just curious if the contest deadline is going to be extended. I'm just ready to start the 4th [and longest] peom but have to go on a short trip and won't have much time to write for a couple of days.
-

first of all, a big thank you to mark for having hosted this successful contest, and to the devoted judges for their precious services in judging our entries.
heartfelt congratulations to kirbysman and to dove for their well deserved trophies and to diana, bunny and annabelle to their exceptional poetic talent and gifts. each one of you three would easily deserve a place amongst the first three places, since you are all outstanding poetesses.
last but certainly not least, I would express my gratitude to mark for having awarded me such a precious gift, I would have never expected this at all.
I humbly receive this price with joy and gratitude.
heartfelt thanks to all of you,
much love,
maa -

And thanks for the great help
-
Haha!Thanks for the great help
-
After returning from out of town, congrats to all the contestants for making it through this round. It originally was 4 rounds, extended to 6, and the rounds kept getting harder and more intense. Congrats to those who took home a winning trophy. Best wishes to the judges for hanging in there and doing a great job. All my best,
Belle
-
Was it really 4 rounds?
I don't remember
-
Waking! I am dissapointed that you didn't record the winners so we could see. I see Dove took gold, but I have no clue who took silver or bronze, I am curious, of course!

I recorded everything as I required the scores of everyone but I deleted it later on as there was no use in keeping it *Rofl*
