Hi Brilliant poets
It saddens me to say that I can no longer have OPEN contests. I have tried every possible way to continue to have contests, because I love reading your work, but each time I host a contest, I have someone (who I have blocked due to harassment) entering poems under multiple aliases to avoid my block. This person has caused me a lot of pain, and I do not intend to read, comment on, or judge their poetry under any of their aliases, therefore, I must have "invite only" contests.
I am sorry for any inconvenience, but I REFUSE to stop having contests
...I am going to be sending some of you IMs,
and for those of you who I know, or have previously entered some of my contests,
please IM me and I will let you in.
If I do not know you, or you do not Im me for approval, I will remove you without warning. I am sorry that it has to be this way. I do not like it any more than you do.

1. Write me the best love poem I have ever read in my life

I am so sorry that due to the inconsiderate immaturity of a poet with multi-personality syndrome you must suffer. Well at least you are offering an option to im you. That's TRULY unfortunate. It's sad that some people continue to do such things. Those are truly fantastic options! I almost entered another of your contests at the beginning of July (what you wish you could tell someone - or something along those lines) but then was considering at the time actually acting on it so I didn't enter... but now my situation fits option 3.

It's sad that AP won't do anything about this harrassing person. It's sad and pathetic that they are allowed to run amok and do the thingst that they do... and in turn cause you hardship.
This looks to be a great contest. I'll tear off my dunce cap and throw on my ragged ole thinking cap (damn, that was cheesy, wasn't it?
) and see what I can come up with.

It's horrid that you have to go through these extremes to run a fair and fun contest, Lynda. So many times running the few contests I have on AP, it was a chance to meet new writers and new friends at this site...
I really appreciate all the effort and time you put to running the great contests as you have in the past at this site...and though I've only been able to participate in a few, each one of them was a great and fun theme and great group of poem-entries. It's a disgrace and unfair to you that you have to go through this extra screening process...
In the meantime, I'll certainly see what I might be able to pull together. The musicians option looks like a good one to me, and I'll see what I can do. Enjoy the contest and I know you will!

I guess holding contests this way must be a pain to you, but I know how nice it is to host contests. I haven't been invited to enter, but may I, since it sounds like the restyriction is really just for that one person? At least that's the way I understood it. You have an option that really fits me and it's easy to tell I'm not the one you're talking about. Good luck with the contest.

I have been thinking about another poem, but I already really used up to options to do one. Now I am looking at three and I don't know. I don't get jealous, I just get hurt. I don't bear grudges because I won't make someone I don't like that important. Also, I think forgiveness is about setting the forgiver free. The one forgiven doesn't need to hear it. It is not that I don't get angry. Truth be known, I have a lousy temper. I just don't stay angry and I work hard not to be a negative.
