My writing is sometimes emotion-based, drawn from my personal life and views.
Then again, certain poems will have nothing to do with either. I will mentally and emotionally place myself into a situation to write about it. So a poem may seem personal but isn't.
Isn't all poetry personal though...whether it's written from the poet's personal life or not?
I seldom write rhyme preferring free-verse. I do enjoy reading a well done rhyme though.
I am here to learn and share. All comments are welcome; positive and negative alike.
If you read one of my writes and care to leave a serious critique I would be most appreciative. Improvement is my goal.

E t e r n i t y on September 18, 2006Thnk you for the lovely comment on my poem! Its like.. referring to the smoke rings and vodka kisses... I meant that to be like a veil pulled over reality.. Bringing it to end in fantasy. We were both so in love with the idea of being in love that we fantasized about it and leaped into it before we even thought about it.
