Thank you for coming to my page. I am honored by your presence here.
Let's see, what to say about ME! I am actually pretty ordinary. I've been married a l-o-o-ng time. With my husband I've raised 5 children and I have the incredible privilege of being a grandma to 8 wild boys and 1 adorable little princess.
I teach a children's Bible study and I volunteer at a local elementary school listening to first-graders read and helping them write.
I have a gloriously goofy Border Collie pup. {*My beautiful puppy was killed recently. I am devastated beyond words.}
I write - and write - and write some more. Mostly epic poetry.
My next birthday has a zero at the end. It's a biggie. I've been making plans to help myself adapt mentally. I may adopt a British accent. I WILL take up water colors. I WILL throw myself a huge bash - and make it a surprise! I may rent a castle in Ireland and take my family over (if I win the lottery - which is not likely since I never buy lottery tickets!)
I seek critiques of my poetry. Don't worry about my ego. I don't have one where that is concerned. I am interested only in making my writing better.
And I promise that if you sign my guestbook, I will come to your house and read your poetry and leave you a critique. It will be honest for that is what I want you to leave for me - honesty.
I am evolving - but this I know. Someday I'll be a real writer! Someday.
Cynthia

I spied a path to the side. -
…let my arms be your pillow
to rest your troubled mind. -
Should I sing you songs of love and joy?
Or a sad refrain of loss and longing?32 lines, 1 comment, September 1. In Contest -
Once I sang my love songs to you

BookGirl on July 26Oh, so sorry about your puppy! I truly sympathise with you as I lost my sweet rabbit about 15 months ago. It's still fresh. I don't know what to say that can make it feel better, but I send you a hug.
I really enjoyed reading your plans for adopting a British accent
and for taking up water colors, etc.
Have fun! -
celadia : Hi CQ on July 16I'm always interested in people who have wonderful lives. I would like to imagine that you've made all the right choices. I'm going to try and read some of your longer poem, did I see one with over 300 lines? Someday.
