Thank you for coming to my page. I am honored by your presence here.
Let's see, what to say about ME! I am actually pretty ordinary. I've been married a l-o-o-ng time. With my husband I've raised 5 children and I have the incredible privilege of being a grandma to 8 wild boys (with one more on the way) and 2 adorable little princesses.
I volunteer at a local elementary school listening to first-graders read and helping them write.
I have an old man cocker spaniel named Louie. He's got feet like dust mops.
I write - and write - and write some more. Mostly epic poetry.
My next birthday has a zero at the end. It's a biggie. I've been making plans to help myself adapt mentally. I may adopt a British accent. I WILL take up water colors. I WILL throw myself a huge bash - and make it a surprise! I may rent a castle in Ireland and take my family over (if I win the lottery - which is not likely since I never buy lottery tickets!) {I did not adopt an accent, but I did take water color and drawing classes. My husband threw me a party - it was not a surprise. We did not rent a castle in Ireland, but I went to Sweden for my former daughter-in-law's re-marriage wedding.)
I seek critiques of my poetry. Don't worry about my ego. I don't have one where that is concerned. I am interested only in making my writing better.
And I promise that if you sign my guestbook, I will come to your house and read your poetry and leave you a critique. It will be honest for that is what I want you to leave for me - honesty.
I am evolving - but this I know. Someday I'll be a real writer! Someday.
Cynthia
