For every bad poem written, a tree has died in vain. Think of the trees next time you plan to write something terrible, purposely or not.
I comment on what appeals to me. Do not beg me for comments. And do not beg me for points. Earn them all on your own. Oh and I hate assholes. (I'm okay with being one but I don't like people being an asshole to me). If you're going to be one to me, you can forget about me checking up on you. Because I sure as hell will not. However, I do admire people willing to point out my mistakes to me. I may complain, bitch, moan, whine (What?! You do it too.) but I will respect it. I am a human, not a lima bean. I'm capable of doing a lot of wrong. And remember that more experience or even being published doesn't mean you shit gold nuggets or part oceans. We can all use advice, now and forever.

I am the older of two children, born to engineers. I have no interest in engineering whatsoever (though I will admit that I like science). And while my brother is also a talented short story writer, he's not much into poetry so you probably won't see him here. I answer to people who call me CT, Carter, your highness, and Smookums. I'm a Capricorn, which means I butt people in between the knees. I'm a dusty ole tome, a prize fighter, a jackass, and I go both ways because I hate flipping coins. I can't flip a coin properly either, my fingers are weird.
Writer, collector of good humor and faith, and caffeine lover. I'm a misanthrope (half the time), Robert Frost's ghost, a happy phantom, geekazoid, not easily amused, and bitter like tea without sugar or cream. Writing is something I have to do or else my day will feel wasted. It's not a hobby, it's a priority for me. If I don't write, I act like a woman high on PMS. So for my sanity (and the good health of people around me), I write to keep me happy and calm. And I write just about anything: rhyming poetry, free verse, songs, stories, drama, etc. I'll read just about anything too and that does include religious and political pieces. I may be a Hindu but I have no problems reading a poetry praising Christ and I do like that some people can write about their faith in a beautiful way. The same goes with politics. I'm not too fond of those but if the poem is funny and makes a statement that I agree on, I'll read it and I may like it.
I shall spare you the quotes and song lyrics, some of which I think most of you are insanely tired of seeing because they've been everywhere (Linkin Park, Evanesence, etc.). I like quotes but I don't have any that are particularily important to me. I can't pick one that fits me completely anyway.
My first book is set for publication. I don't know anyone here really well but I hope to change that. I'm getting to know a couple of you and I like a lot of you too. Eventually, I will start adding more names to my favorites list.

I love lime-flavored candy, Tori Amos, Fullmetal Alchemist, Emily Dickinson, Family Guy, CSI (the original), Dylan Thomas, Bob Dylan, Children of Bodom, The Amazing Race, writing, ice cream, oceans, mountains, snow, Walt Whitman, sleeping, biology, poetry, Harry Potter, Psycho le Cemu, the supernatural, horror stories, coconut rum, panda bears, lemon meringue pie, The Phantom of the Opera (and many other musicals), pina coladas chock full of coconut rum, anime, Mexican food, apple juice, numerology, spinach pizza, and all the Hindu gods/goddesses though not exactly in that order.
I dislike stupid people (not dumb people. The dumb can't help themselves. Stupid, arrogant, whiny people who should never breed), people who TyPe Lik Diz, Evanesence, Linkin Park, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Slipknot, teenybopper chicks, netspeak (how hard is it to spell 'to'?! Or two or too?), Hallmark brand things, cherubs, people writing in all caps or all lower case, emo groups, Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff, Avril Lavigne, Ayumi Hamasaki, Gackt, and all J-pop/rock bands with the exception of Psycho Le Cemu (long explanation on this), extreme heat, homophobes, racists (could fall in as stupid people), red meat, hot steering wheels, prune juice, politics, leather pants or underwear, any kind of math, people who flame other people, bimbos that make contest just to help their friends win even though said friends are probably talentless hacks like bimbo contest holder (not always the case, I know), and doctor/dentist visits.

I'm very picky about my music. It's either metal or non-metal that's really good. No, I don't listen to the radio anymore. I'm living off CDs and downloaded mp3s now. I'm also picky on what I read, eat, and do. But I'm usually a nice person. Except when I'm not.
