Greetings to all!

My name is Carmela Michele, born in San Francisco, CA and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I've been writing poetry and short stories since I was a very little girl. I would never say I'm the greatest at it but I do enjoy writing and it makes me happy. That's all that matters, right?

I'm a published author. When I was 19 years old a published a collection of short stories, poetry, and essay in a book called "Big Boots and Black Hair Dye". I self-published so it may always be a work in progress. I'm not the best when it comes to editing but seeing as how most people don't watch their grammar or presist to tYpe liKE tHIs I really don't beat myself up over it. Editors want an arm and a leg to edit books. I mean, geez, I have my future first born on reserve right now just to get my next book edited! Haha! Just kidding... but it is ridiculous.

While working on my next book I also pursue photography, film, and occassionally some modeling. My boyfriend is an independant film maker and a sound engineer for his own recording studio. We live blissfully in an unblissful neighborhood with our two cats Boris and Sailor.

I'm really looking forward to meeting some new people here!
