The name’s Carla. Born South African and made Floridian...I had no say in the matter, mind you =/
I find these “tell us about you” things a little difficult because I can’t really explain who I am like this and all my mind is giving me is: 0_0
Well, I find great solace in expressive art – writing, drawing, painting, singing (loudly over blasting music), and dancing around bonfires. I work my ass off at school, but take having fun just as seriously.
The move from South African private school to Miami(an?) public school was a ripping away of my comfort zone and a jolt to my sensitivities. I am proud to say, however, that I have grown from the whole thing, leaned about new cultures, and retained my South African flava!
Religions are cool (until they get violent) but I feel more connected to God when I take a walk in the forest… I plan to pursue a career (not sure what) in a field that can help our environment. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that read: “Corn is for cows. Not cars.” And I was like “Bitch please. I’ll have you know cows don’t even eat corn they eat GRASS…or hay, it depends on the farm…” The point is I got righteously angry at the man. People can be very stupid, and being intelligent can be very lonely in this place.
