Sara Smile
Written by Daryl Hall and John Oates
1975
Baby hair
With a woman's eyes
I can feel you watching
in the night
All alone with me
And I'm, we're waiting for the sunlight
When I feel cold
You warm me
When I feel I can't go on
You come and hold me
It's you and me forever
chorus
Sara Smile
A-wont you smile awhile for me Sara
If you feel like leaving
You know you can go
But why don't you stay until tomorrow
If you want to be free
You know all you got to do is say so
When you feel cold
I'll warm you
And when you feel you can't go on
I'll come and hold you
It's you and me forever
chorus (twice)
break
chorus
A-wont you smile awhile
Won't you laugh a sec for me
Still The One
Written by Orleans
1976
We've been together since way back when
Sometimes I never want to see you again
But I want you to know
After all these years
You're still the one
I want whispering in my ear
chorus
You're still the one
I want to talk to in bed
Still the one
That turns my head
We're still having fun
And you're still the one
I looked at your face everyday
And I never saw it when I went away
Then winter came
I just wanted to go
Deep in the desert
I longed for the snow
You're still the one
That makes me laugh
Still the one
That's my better half
We're still having fun
And you're still the one
You're still the one
That makes me strong
Still the one
I want to take along
We're still having fun
And you're still the one
Yes you are!
24 bar break
Changing our love is growing old
Even though we grow old
It grows new
You're still the one
That I love to touch
Still the one
And I can't get enough
We're still having fun
And you're still the one
You're still the one
Who can scratch my itch
Still the one
That I wouldn't switch
We're still having fun
And you're still the one
You are still the one
That makes me shout
Still the one
That I dream about
We're still having fun
And you're still the one
Oo-oo-oo you're still the one
You're still the one
We're still having fun
And you're still the one(long note on the word one)
Turn Your Love Around
Written by George Benson
1982
You've got the love
You've got the power
But you just don't understand
You keep on charging by the hour with my love
I'm trying to show how much I love you
Still believing in romance
You're taking way too many chances with my love
I remember when you use to be
The talk of the town
All you get is lonely
CHORUS
Turn your love around
Don't you turn me down
I can show you how
Turn your love around
Without the woman
I can make it
But I need the girl to stay
Aah don't you let the lady take it all away
When the woman needs a taste of yesterday
And he stays at home
All he gets is lonely
CHORUS
Turn your love around
Don't you turn me down
I can show you how
Turn your love around
Ooh girl you know me
I'm alone until you show me
That you're still in love with me
We're gonna make it
We're gonna take it
Back where we belong
CHORUS
Turn your love around
Don't you turn me down
I can show you how
Turn you love around
It's time the girl became a woman
Every woman needs a man
I love the girl, I love the woman
Turn around(REPEAT THREE TIMES)

This is my description of myself and my poetry. My name is Brooklyn Six aka The Brooklyn Six Project™. I was born on Monday August 26, 1974 at approximately 7:00 PM in the evening in New York City. I spent the majority of my childhood growing up in the Bronx despite the fact that I like to represent the borough of Brooklyn. I went to Public School 87 in the Bronx from 1980-1986. I then went to Junior High School 142 (now Intermediate School 142) also in The Bronx from 1986-1988. I was a member of the Arista National Honor Society. I then went to DeWitt Clinton High School also in The Bronx from 1988-1992. I was a member of the Macy Medical Science Honors program. I was also a member of the National Honor Society there. I graduated High School with Honorable Mention. I came up with the name Brooklyn Six as a result of the tragedy in my home state of New York on 9/11/2001. Many people were running across the Brooklyn Bridge when the airplanes rammed into World Trade Center causing to say the least "a major catastrophe". The "6" comes from the train in New York City that has a last stop in downtown Manhattan called Brooklyn Bridge. That is how I was able to come up with my name.
I spent nine years in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, I worked as a personnelman. I was primarily responsible for providing customer service and updating military service records to over three thousand people. I also served as a legal clerk as well. While I was at sea, I was also apart of the navigation department as well. My duties there were to keep track of all shipboard events as they happened. The experience was delightful but yet very stressful at times. I was able to sail across the Western Pacific three times. I have visited countries like, Mexico, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sarabuya, Guam, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Okinawa and more. While in the Navy, I have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, OR and Seattle. I have been to cities in the US such as, Chicago, Detroit, St Louis, Minneapolis, Dallas, Milwaukee, Seattle, Portland, OR, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Providence, New Haven, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston and more! Traveling is fun. I had an awesome time in everyone of these places. I really loved learning about the way how people live all over the globe.
Anyways, just about all of my poems are about life, love, triumph, tragedy, sorrow, grief, happiness, hope and more. I really love to write new material. It puts my mind at ease whenever I am stressed about something or someone. Poetry is my writing medication. I have been writing poetry since 2000. Most recently in March of 2006, I was nominated as a poetry ambassador from poetry.com. I am very delighted about that indeed. I know that several doors will be opened up there. Hopefully everyone who reads my material will be able to enjoy my gift. To everyone, if you are gifted in some way shape or form utilize it. Utilize the gift that god gave you and do not waste it. REMEMBER THAT YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE!!!
I currently have two jobs. I work in the bindery department for a major printing press company in Woodinville. It's a very good company. I also work as a signholder for a major realtor company in Lake Stevens. I help realtors sell houses there. I also work as a bouncer part time. I do not take any mess from anyone. YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
In addition to all of that, I am current working on building my music career. I want to be able to put my music out there so the whole world can see and enjoy. MUSIC IS MY PASSION to say the least. I am a member of a funk/rock/blues band called MADDAWGZ. The other members of the band are Evan Wickham (lead guitarist, vocalist) "Vortex" William Riddle (lead vocalist, bass player) Dean "The Machine" Campbell (background vocalist, bass player) Danny Eddy (drummer), and Gordy Lockhard (bass player). I sing lead and background vocals. I also play the tambourine and I am the percussionist of the band. I am also looking to work with others who have the same goal as I. Maybe we can collaborate on a project together. Not only do I write lyrics for myself. I write for others as well. I am always writing new material. I am writing new material right now as we speak!! I am an avid singer/songwriter. I have learned to love it all since I was little. From The Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hall and Oates, Gladys Knight, Linda Ronstadt, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Commodores. Diana Ross and The Supremes and more! If anyone would like to get in contact with me feel free to email me at brooklyn6times@yahoo.com or brooklynsixtimes@aol.com. I would love to hear from you!! Take care everyone, be safe, and god bless.
