Breaking The GirlShow poetry

I'm not sure that I have one set style of writing... I write a lot of different ways, usually I write in stanzas of 4 lines each, but I have been known to write free verse, and some poems with stanzas of 3 lines each. I write about a lot of different things, mostly love and pain... Or a lot of the time about whatever the hell pops into my head... So enjoy!

QUOTES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good to forgive; best to forget; living, we fret; dying, we live." -R. Browning
"There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion." -Francis Bacon
"Omnia vincit Amor; et nos cedamus Amori." (Love conquers all; let us too yield to love.) -Virgil (E octogues, X)
"I am not arguing with you - I am telling you." -J. McN.
"I'll tell ya one thing, though... It's gonna get a little weird." -Two drunk guys at a pizza place.
"All that you are, and all that you will become, is beautiful...Many times in our life we feel like we have lost our beauty by our decisions and the circumstances. But no matter what has happened, you never lose your beauty. You are always beautiful for those who love you."
LYRICS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If every word I said
Could make you laugh
I'd talk forever

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So tired that I couldn't even sleep
So many secrets I couldn't keep
Promised myself I wouldn't weep
One more promise I couldn't keep
It seems no one can help me now
I'm in too deep
There's no way out
This time I have really led myself astray
Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I'm neither here nor there
Bought a ticket for a runaway train
Like a madman laughin' at the rain
Little out of touch, little insane
Just easier than dealing with the pain
Runaway train never comin' back
Runaway train tearin' up the track
Runaway train burnin' in my veins
Runaway but it always seems the same
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She said I feel stranded
And I can't tell anymore
If we're coming or I'm going
It's not how I planned it
I've got the key to the door
But it just won't open

And I can't find my way
Girl I need a change
And I do anything that just feel better
Any little thing that just feel better

She said I need you to hold me
I'm a little far from the shore
And I'm afraid of sinking
You're the only one knows me
And who doesn't ignore
That my soul is weeping

Long to hold you in my arms
To all things I ought to leave behind, yeah
It's really getting nowhere
I think I need a little help this time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She never mentions the word addiction
In certain company
Yes, she'll tell you she's an orphan
After you meet her family
She paints her eyes as black as night, now
Pulls those shades down tight
Yeah, she gives a smile when the pain comes,
The pain's gonna make everything alright
She keeps a lock of hair in her pocket
She wears a cross around her neck
Yes, the hair is from a little boy
And the cross is someone she has not met, not yet
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And she'd say: "Baby, where you gonna go?
What you gonna do when you get there?
Who you gonna call when your road runs out at the sea?
You know, you're never gonna find,
Someone who loves you like I do.
When you get tired of runnin',
You can turn around and walk back to me."

"If you ever get tired of runnin',
Turn around and walk back to me."

    Wow, I love your poetry! I don't even know how I found your page, but... wow! Most people your age are all, "oh, woe is me! I cut myself, and I am emo", but you have some genuine talent here. I am glad that not all teenagers write bad poetry!

    Bravissima!

    WELL - I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all your great comments! I really appreciate them. I read the poem at the very top of your page and thought it was great - it took me on a journey...I loved how you used so many different things from kids fantasy stories (I'm not sure exactly what to call them lol). The "Love So Soon" actually is a very very true story. Unfortunately. But I hopefullly going to see him this upcoming weekend. I can't wait to read more of your poetry cause right now I'm at a friends house, but you take care!!!
