About Me

Jeff Baily is my name by birth, but also I'm well known by many as my nickname CJ Baily and currently I go by SeeJ (Pronounced Siege). All my poetry is copyrighted under my birth name.

I am a big time dreamer, a little bit of a rambler at times, but also a great listener. Most people don't know I listen well, because I can't always come up with clever ways to put I hear ya or that I understand. Mostly in conversations I'm a shy reserved person until you get to know me. I do well in public though, I've had jobs as a music promoter and loved working with musicians. I always worked for new just starting out artists at no cost to them, just was nice getting to hang out with them and get free signed material cds and such, so to me that was payment enough. I would still be doing that, but currently I only have enough to get by where I'm at now. With no extra anymore thanks to inflation and gas prices so I can't afford to do that kind of free work, but hopefully someday I'll get there again.

I love almost every sport basketball, baseball, football, soccer, volley ball, tennis, golf, and prob. a few more.

My music taste is that of a chameleon much like my personality... Though there is one constant in me, despite my bitterness I am a hopeless romantic at heart. I fit in most every crowd now adays, back in school I didn't fit in anywhere and was on the wrong side of bullying (the receiving end).

I am a person who believes family first, then friends, then neighbors, then co-workers, and then last everyone else. I never try to be someone who doesn't get along with others, though I have run into those type of people a few times in my life and I could never understand why some one would hate and judge (me) before they know a person. I also am the type that likes to fix everything that is broken and it bugs me when I lack the knowledge or simply cant like when I can't resolve my differences because of someone else who refuses to try.

I am not the kind of person who likes to talk about myself, but my friends number is dropping and so I would like to give everyone out there a good idea of who I am is all. And that is about all I can think of right now.

About my writing style:

I mainly write this section to save people time & guess work on what might be useful and what will just go wasted on me in advise.... So here I do encourage whatever you feel about my poem write, I don't disregard any advise, but in English class my teacher taught me this:

Write neat sentences with proper punctuation and keep them neatly within the lines.


Now this is what I heard:

Write like everyone else, don't be unique at all. Follow rules set up by people who care nothing about individuality and everyone will respect your conformity.


Here's what I did with that lesson:

Threw it in the fire (in my mind) burned it to really fine ashes & blew it away in with the rest of disregarded thoughts & knowledge. Instead I went out & got myself a "Poetic License" and my book of poems I carry if any English teacher looked at it she'd faint dead away it is never punctuated properly & the words all run on endlessly sometimes in never ending sentences they don't conform to within the lines they run wild all over the page my writing even has sometimes little doodle drawings in the middle, it is the messiest written book on this planet, but hey I have a poetic license to carry it & add to it what I want so ha lol

Sorry the book has been indefinitely delayed...
I will keep you all posted, but starting college and I got my novels in the works and there just isn't time to get everything together. Plus I also got my music that may be picking back up.

My future album will be titled "Collecting Dust"
I will either have a band Saturn Sunrise or do a solo release under my name or one of my pen names. Hopefully I will be releasing from my own label if things go well Another Galaxy Records (a division of another galaxy, inc. the future in arts and entertainment) If all goes well I hope to also have a film studio and a publishing house all will be divisions of same company that I will own completely.

A Little Extra Rambling poetically; be the friend you seek

Buckets of friendship go down the drain and all you think of is yourselves "he wasn't a good enough friend" "she wasn't there for you" , keep telling yourself you deserve better and every one will join in and take your side with these lies. The truth is you all have to be that better friend, that you seek out of a selfish need to not be alone...

At the end of every day when I look into the mirror and know I've done my best I sleep soundly. When I don't do my best the next day I try harder. My books and music my dreams I believe with this attitude I will achieve. Thanks to Tim (my old boss at JMS Engineering) who now will have a place in my thanks yous section of every one of my books and music cd's for everything else I achieve the thank you is a given.

Another notable person that belongs in my thank you's someday as well is Patty (Another old boss at Arby's one of the great managers) You are the first person who ever talked so much good about me behind my back that it made it's way back to me. "A little CJ can go a long way" I will try to make you right someday, those words give me a lot of drive when times are tough. Thank you for believing in me and being the great person you are. And I hope that someday you'll get to pick up my book of poetry and read it. Of course if I can somehow I'll reserve a free copy for you.

Sorry it took me so long to link it here, I really don't mind everyone knowing these are my work, but one person I would rather not read is my ex first love, so Liz if ya read this please don't read them, not meant to be mean or anything it's just some sides of myself I would rather not certain people see and though you used to know me that well I don't think we are that close anymore and so I would rather not share these poems with you. I'm sure you'll understand being a poet yourself who also at some point has probably felt there was a few of your own too personal poems to share with everyone. Everyone else feel free to check them out I feel like I've have come a long way with my pen name as well and since I started writing poetry this is my deepest poems yet, though they are a bit darker.
