"It's strange that words are so inadequate. Yet, like the asthmatic struggling for breath, so the lover must struggle for words. "
T. S. Eliot
"Ever carry the weight of another? For How Long? Or walked as far as they need to recover? For How Long?" Overweight - Blue October
You ask me to enter, but then you make me crawl
and I can't beholden onto what you got...when all you've got is hurt - One -U2
'I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion
Let the rain of what I feel right now...come down
Let the rain come down '

In case you're curious, my music tastes vary, but I love Classic and current rock. As you can see above, I really like Blue October. I also love Weezer, Elton John, Mellencamp, and 80's galore. I think Bernie Taupin and Justin Furstenfeld are the best lyricists in music.
My favorite TV shows are the Simpson's (movie was good, but really just long episode), Family Guy, South Park (I'm a South Park Libertarian), House (actually, not so much lately but still a good show), 24 (this past season not withstanding), and Myth Busters.
My movies vary as with my mood. The Harry Potter movies are all great, but can never match the books. The Austin Powers Trilogy are still funny. Being from the original generation that grew up with it, I love the Star Wars original trilogy. Batman Begins was the best "super hero" movie ever made, in my opinion. However, I was surprised at how good Ghost Rider was (and how bad Superman Returns was). Basically, I either want to laugh or be taken out of the "real world." LOTR's are a weekend favorite as well. I loved two Victorian Magician movies...the Illusionist and the Prestige!
I'm a pretty boring guy all and all. Yep, I'm a 30something dork.
Not everything I write is autobiographical. Some maybe. Some isn't. Don't assume. A lot may come from a bit of experience and then expanded upon. I believe we all add at least some of ourselves to our work.
On a personal note, I’m always looking to make friends. I’m very reserved person at first, but don’t let that stop you from emailing me if you want to discuss life, poetry, children, life issues we might have in common, why Fun Dip is the greatest candy ever, or whatever you might think would connect us. I promise, I'm cool...really...ok...my mom thinks I'm cool!!! (Five comments on poems for people that can reference what show and episode that's from) Seriously, if you'd like another friend who won't judge, even if he can't relate, I'm around.
Also, thank you to those who've read my work. I appreciate your interest and I'm thankful for your comments. I say this hear because I have quit replying "Thank you" to every comment. It seems to lose it's meaning when you see me saying it after each comment. Just know that if you took the time to read and comment, I appreciate it very much. I'll do my best to return the favor.
