Holy hell, I'd totally forgotten about this website!! I suppose it's time for an update? All of the poems here are from when I was 17, maybe 18. I'm 21 now and life isn't so hard. I'm expecting my first child (a son) in just a few short weeks! My husband is the best person I know, and my career is going smoothly. I teach, and it's stressful, but it makes me feel like I'm actually making a difference in the world.

I actually don't write anymore, maybe 1 or 2 poems when I found out I was pregnant, but they pretty well suck and I don't even know where they are. Now that I remember allpoetry, maybe I'll take it up again.

Thanks for reading! I'll update again when my son's born.

"Cold"

Looking back at me I see
That I never really got it right
I never stopped to think of you
I'm always wrapped up in
Things I cannot win
You are the antidote that gets me by
Something strong
Like a drug that gets me high

What I really meant to say
