Twenty Beliefs
1. I believe that opinions and beliefs only have worth if you can explain why you have them.
2. I believe that you can be atheist and a good person; they are not mutually exclusive.
3. I believe that the highest goal one can have is to live a life that may not be all good or full of the "right" choices, but that they can tell one day knowing that it made a good story.
4. I believe the mark of a good person is the ability to refrain from passing judgment.
5. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance.
6. I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way.
7. I believe that the only people who cannot find the beauty in others are the people who think they can find too much of it in themselves.
8. I believe that you cannot disapprove of another person's decisions unless you know and understand their motivations.
9. I believe that bad things happen to good people just as often as good things happen to bad people.
10. I believe that some people should not procreate.
11. I believe that smart people do stupid things under the influence of alcohol.
12. I believe that potheads are some of the most intelligent, kind, and understanding people on earth.
13. I believe that being racist is disgusting and only demonstrates unforgivable ignorance.
14. I believe that people are basically good, but are dangerously susceptible to negative influences.
15. I believe that the difference between a man and a boy is the ability to admit it when he is wrong.
16. I believe that sometimes, there is no "right" thing to do.
17. I believe that it is perfectly ok to admit that you were wrong.
18. I believe that someone can be attracted to males and females equally.
19. I believe that you should never go to sleep angry at someone you love. It's better to stay up and work it out together.
20. I believe that love is a beautiful thing, whether it is between a man and a woman, two men, or two women.
