--There you see me, happy as can be. It's before any of this happened, before my life changed for the better and the worse. My smile portrays happiness, my face registers amusement, but who am I inside? This is a letter never meant to be read. It will never be read by you, I imagine. But there are some things to know. I can't stand not talking to you; it's like a nightmare. You're like a ghost to me now, haunting my every thought and dreams when I sleep. I write to you even though I know it will not be sent. I keep your pictures, letters, e-mails, and letters I have written you in a box, to seal all of you in there, to keep what I lost.--

--People are always telling me to smile,like smiling is going to take away all the hurt and the pain. Well I've tried that.I've tried hiding my sorrows, and covering the sadness in my smiles.And what I've learned is that when it hurts this much inside,your heart has a way of showing it,no matter how many masks you wear.This isn't a perfect world...people do get hurt...you smile when you feel like crying...you act like nothings wrong when your falling apart inside...but you learn to get over it because there is nothing else you can do---

I don't even have the strength to cut.
I hate that I'm in denial,
and can't admit defeat.
I hate that when I think of you,
my heart always skips a beat.
I hate you because even though I know
