Writing poetry is an art of sounds. It speaks to the reader with a soul of lyrical experiences. It creates attention and gains respect when the meter and rhyme are pleasing to the ears. I try to write poems that are smooth where I can see myself within the framed words. Where I can melt into the landscape and taste the colors of a story through depiction. On the other hand, writing poetry can be frustrating because I want every reader to understand my experience and not have to guess at the meaning. I love a challenge, I love to analyze, I love detail, I love to write because it gives me pleasure to discover something new.
