I've noticed since you left that I can do this without you...when I thought before I never could-wouldn't even think of it. I'm strong when I don't see you anymore, strong when I can't see your name on the caller ID, strong when I don't hear your voice on the other end of the line, strong when I don't get your messages, strong when you're no longer there to push me down... So what made you think you could try to shatter me the other day? Following me while I am walking with the one I love and he's holding your son-but he's not yours anymore. Call him that if you like, but you were never there for us, you were never his father...you lost your chance. Seeing you doesn't stop my world the way you believe it does, but if you keep thinking that way you are more than welcome to keep trying. Because all I see is a broken man, and he breaks a little more he has to see his family happy with someone else, and watch us walk away with him. Didn't you notice that your son didn't even recognize you anymore? You're just a memory to me now, and he is too young to remember the few times you were actually there.
