AvantGarde on July 29, 2006Blue Like Jazz is life changing. It broadened my perspective, and it all felt very true. Highly suggest it.

Rosalie M on July 28, 2006Awesome, I'll definetly try to find it. So you liked Blue Like Jazz? I've heard so much about that book, and Donald Miller in general, and have yet to read anything.

AvantGarde on July 28, 2006Thank you! It's funny that I'm the direct one, since you want to be the journalist. For you, I'd suggest Gabriel Garcia Marquez; he's a journalist by trade, but also one of the most amazing novelists I know. He's ruthlessly efficient with words; One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the most amazing books I have read. Check it out!
