First and foremost, welcome to my collection of poetry.
I really hope you enjoy what I have written. If not, that's fine with me too because I will understand if how I write is not your style.

I wrote my first poem for a class assignment and that's when I realized I had the capability to write. Poetry soon became my outlet for my feelings and emotions, particularly through high school. Instead of keeping a diary or finding other outlets for my emotions, I would turn to poetry. I guess it was my way to remain hopeful in times of stress or release great outbursts of creativity. I normally write when I'm feeling creative, I have some big inspiration for an idea to write about, or I'm trying to find an outlet for emotions that I have brewing. I am glad to have found All Poetry because it seems to be a reliable place for me to post my work, whether or not I get comments. My main goal was to find a (free) spot for people to be free to read my works. Being the creative type that I am, I really enjoy the option to add a background and colors to the poems. I try to fit the best background and color scheme to the emotions and tone of the poem. Also for the post date, I have included the date that I either created or completed the work (which is typically not the post date).

You will not find any prewrites or works in progress posted (although I do have a few poems "in the works" ) for several reasons. 1)While I am composing a poem, my poem can change numerous times 2) Because of reason 1, it can be a hassle to keep updating it on the site until it's final end point 3) From reason 2, an endpoint for a poem may take days, weeks, and sometimes possibly months, depending on my creativity at the time 4) Lastly, I see my poetry like a movie...you're not gonna release the movie while it's still in it's filming stages-- it doesn't get released until it is absolutely complete! I'd like to keep the poem a new "suprise," if you know what I mean.

So far, I have written: 1 story, 1 prose, 1 fantasy design (not poem nor prose nor story!), and 32 poems with a bunch of poems still "in the works."

About my poetry :
Some of my heavier poetry is a result of a combination of heartbreak, anger, and frustration. Some of my lighter poetry is just positive works from assorted inspiration. Some of my more powerful poetry is inspiration for hope and encouragement for myself as well as others. When I find the inspiration to write a poem, I will sometimes agonize about choosing the best words to accurately express my emotions for the particular poem.

About my story :
A long time ago as a child, I had a very peculiar daydream. For some reason, it stuck with me through life and I would think back on it many times. Once I started to write poetry, I decided to take the opportunity to put that daydream into words on paper/computer. Of course as a young child I did not quite have the right words to explain my thoughts, but through my writing of poetry, I was able to finally find the best words to bring it to life and share it with others.

About my prose :
My prose was my attempt to find and explain a meaningful outlook of friendships and relationships in life. It has been through quite a few revisions and there is a possibility I might revise it yet again at some point.

Lastly, I would like to mention here that I am VERY thankful to all of you who have commented on my works so far and thanks to anyone else yet to still leave their comments. I will gladly return the favor and try make as many comments as you do for me. (If by any chance you commented on any of my works and did not return the comment favor, I am terribly sorry! I most likely got busy and it slipped my mind. However, please don't hesitate to send me an IM to remind me and I will gladly return the comment on at least 1 of your works!)

I am a member of the Group The EVIL WENCHES, and there's not an evil bone in any of our bodies, WE are all living dolls and angels of the heart. WE are priceless queens, from many backgrounds, ethnic groups, and persuasions. WE stand for the right. When a lady wench is wronged WE all come quickly to her aid. WE support one another poetically, emotionally, spiritually, and constantly. WE are members of other groups as well, and have varied responsibilities. There is a profound unity in our gruop. WE have more fun than can even be imagined. If WE disagree it is the best damn debate you've ever witnessed, and WE still come out on the other side with a hug, loving words and positive attitudes. Life is but a vapor, WE breathe hard, laugh hard, and cry just as hard....WE are sisters and best friends. I am happy that Catressa founded this group, WE are serendipitous!
